So it would seem that I'm moving ahead. No. I'm crawling ahead, O me of little faith.
I don't know how the Good Friday service was yesterday, but I had an absolute ball in the nursery. I was met by a beautiful woman who looked strangely familiar. It turns out she was Sandy's sister. I guess initially she thought I was one of the teen helpers (I'm hoping to get that in another ten years,) so she must have been a little like "Oh the nerve!" when I kept so rudely grabbing Leila from her every time she fussed. I can only imagine what was going through her head (and I would have loved to see the look on her face) when Sammy started fighting and I practically dragged him by the arm over to the corner.
Where's the candid camera when you need one?
Anyway, it was a LOOOONG morning for those poor little children. If ever you question the natural-born depravity of man, spend some time in the nursery and that'll soon change your mind. It was almost traumatizing for them to be all thrown together, all 12 of them, in one room and have to--are you ready for this?--share the toys. But little Isaac gave me a good laugh.
I'm "his girl", don't you know. So when he walked away from me only to turn around and find me playing with another child (infidel!), he got angry. No--he got furious! His cute little nose scrunched up, his bottom lip came out exposing his lower teeth, his voice instantly turned hoarse, his breathing forceful, his eyes glaring from underneath his angry eyebrows. Kinda like this little one...

I have never seen a child with so much passion. God willing, that will be put to good use one day.
Oh! And yesterday was also the very first time Nancy's Samuel didn't turn and head for the hills as soon as I looked at him. (sniffs) I feel loved.

Izzy gave me that same look today in nursery. He said, "mom my face is like a bad guy and I am chasing the boy with no pants on. Look at my eyes, they are all squishy mom."LOL. Izzy always asks about you and loves you very much. "She's my girl mom".
Your Samual and my Izzy were chasing eachother around. Samuel decided to run around in his undies. I wish I had a camera-LOL. Boys will be boys. Just the way God intended it to be. Good and funny!
oh desley but what you are forgetting is that you say things in a way that come people need to hear it... you have your own perspective and your own illustrations... itis why some speakers say nothing to some of some of us, while others grow and produce fruit a hundred foild. God did this purposefully ... so not any one man or womand would feel like they were THE annointed ONE. He uses you to speak to more than you think... you are a prophet... one who cannot help but proclaim his truth. sorry but it is true, you can run but you cant hide :) and leila rocks... my cutie patootie!
which is why J P puts me to sleep without fail... i know i cant believe i said it either... but i know he speaks for God but i dont hear him.
Bad Beth! Bad Beth! lol
To each his own...
JP gets on my nerves sometimes, but usually cuz he's poking around an area I don't particularly care to know exists. And yeah....sometimes I just want to hear the man say, "Today I really don't feel all that joyful." But I imagine it will be all too obvious that he's basking in the glory, love, and grace of God as he said it anyway. He'd have his hands up towards heaven, with a smile on his face saying, "I don't feel that joyful today, but God promises that the sun will shine after the rain and so I will delight in all that God is in Jesus, and that fills me with joy!"
Sorry. ...I REALLY do like him.
What I'd give to have that man's faith.
